Modern and Old Gods

Author's Note: I wrote about the differences between  the modern and the old plays and I talked about how the old Zeus is different from the new Zeus.

What happened in the play was that Zeus wanted to play war with someone but no one really wanted to. The Gods started talking about something else and they get off topic of starting a war. What change was that, they made the scenes longer and some parts have more humor than the others. The original god story was the Zeus went to war with the other gods but in the modern one he asked all the other gods to "play war" with him

Zeus is different from the old version from now because he seems more kiddish or more playful because he always has to mess around with other people or tell jokes. Another reason that the play was different from the actual thing was how the gods spoke they used more modern words more than old words and all the gods seemed like they acted different for example some gods made fun of each other or fought about whose right or whose wrong.

Reverse Racism

Author's Note: This essay will be about Reverse racism and how people judge other people on what they do or how they talk.

After you, My Dear Alphonse is about these two friends named Boyd and Johnny when Boyd goes to Johnny's house for lunch and his mom makes alot of food for Boyd because she thinks he doesn't eat alot because she sees him as a African American so that means to her that he doesn't eat because of slavery or that his family is really poor. But when she tries to put more food on Boyd's plate he says he doesn't won't alot because he's not hungry and she still tries to put it on his plate and Boyd's get kinda upset and says no thank you and he walks back to the table and starts eating.

Another reason why this story is reverse racism is when Boyd is going to leave to go home Johnny's mom ask Boyd if he needed clothes for him or his parents but Boyd said he didn't need any clothes and she said well maybe your mom can sew them. Then Boyd said she doesn't know how to sew then Mrs.Wilson said there are very many boys like you and they would be grateful to accept the offered i just gave you yes I know Mrs.Wilson but me and my family don't really need and Mrs.Wilson are you starting to get mad at me said Boyd, no I'm just disappointed that you didn't accept my offer and lets just not say anything else about this.

I think this story has alot of real life experiences because there's alot of people out there that will judge other people on what they wear or how they act just like when Mrs.Wilson said "you need more food on your plate" stuff like that can be reverse racism. Another example of reverse racism is when Mrs.Wilson tried to send Boyd home with a bundle of clothes but Boyd didn't accept it because his family already has good enough clothes and I think that's reverse racism because Mrs.Wilson thinks his family his poor and doesn't really have alot of clothes or alot of food. I think reverse racism is kinda like judging a book by the cover because some people just look at one person and might think really bad just by seeing him.

However, this topic is not just in this story. The story "Adventures of an Indian Princess" by Patricia Riley also has many examples of reverse racism. For instance, when the family goes on a vacation they a man with a horse and he  is kinda dressed like a Native American but he's just they guy who works at the Native American store they stopped at. And the family looks at for awhile and there thinking that he is a actual Indian so they go into the store expecting to see more Native Americans  but they don't they just see a bunch of Native American stuff like arrows and home made bows and stuff like that. These two stories are the same because there's two people that try to give free stuff because they think there poor or expect to see the culture of Native Americans.

What I think of these two stories is that they have alot of reverse racism for example when Mrs.Wilson try to give Boyd alot of food or when she try to send him home with a bundle of clothes for him and his parents. Reverse racism is also in the real world just like when people see a bunch of teenagers hanging around they think that there just trouble or they think that there a big gang but really there just hanging out with their friends. The reason I wrote about this topic is because I thought it was interesting and also I thought it would be cool to write about.

The Trojan War Analysis

Author's Note: I'm going to write about the Trojan Horse story and how were there conflicts and comparing it to real world.

One of the king's wife's was taken by troy and they resolved this by sending the iron horse into to the city and charging the doors. Once they got in they started killing all of the soldiers and that's when they finally got to her and got her back. The sneakiest thing in this short story is when they have the iron horse and at first the soldiers are looking at it like they have never seen one before or at least something like it. I think part of this could happen in real life because the army could bring a tank that kinda like the iron horse in some ways and the other part when they still a king's daughter that can't really happen in the United States because we don't really have a king.

None of this could happen in a school because there's no army in schools really or there really isn't no king or iron horse to ride in. This also couldn't happen in a small work place because it's small first of all and there is no big iron horse but there is a king but he's is called your boss so he's really like the king of that job. I have heard about something like this in social studies two years about how the Greeks made a iron horse and hid soldiers in it and moved it along to another village and that village let the horse in and the soldiers jumped out and attacked the village for more land and they would try to be the king of that land also.

Who Am I

This Who Am I essay is going to be about a person who is famous and well known in movies or books but the trick is you have to guess who the person is by the clues I give you. The person who I'm doing is known for his shortness and also played in some movies like Think Like A Man and some of the scary movies and he also is a comedian and he was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2009 he released his first hour-long stand-up comedy special, "I'm a Grown Little Man" and off this act he made over 1 million dollars. Later after that he came out with more stand up comedy and started to become more famous

The Fight With Earl And Steve

Author's Note: This essay will be about one family adopting a thirteen year old boy and helping him restart his life because of such of a bad past he had with his mom and dad and when they adopt him
"Won't Know Till I Get There" by Walter Dean Myers is about how Steve and his parents adopt this thirteen year old boy named Earl and he has a little bit of a bad past so Steve's parents try to fix his life so they bring him in to their home and have him share rooms with Steve. Before Earl comes Steve goes outside and plays basketball across the street with his friends Hi-Note and Patty once there done with their basketball game Steve goes back to his house and sees Earl in his room and they start talking about what they like and not like. I think the cause and effect in this story is great because there's alot of fights going on but they always find a way to fix it.
The big event that happened in this story was that Steve and Earl were going to play basketball and they cut across a train station and there was a train that was old and broken down and they find a full spray can next to the can and they decide to spray paint the train. After they were done they started walking away and then these two undercover cops come around the corner and yelled stop to Steve and Earl once they stop they got arrested and got taken to a juvenile jail. After a couple of hours waiting there parents came from work and talked to the police and asked when they have to come back for court once the police explained everything to Steve and Earl's parents they took them home and they got yelled at some more by there parents.
If this event didn't happen at all the book would be different because there would be no trouble and it would just be some friends hanging around. The reason the author made this event in this book is because the book would be boring if it had no action in it or no problems to deal with he also wanted to bring Earl in this book because he is suppose to be a trouble maker because his past before getting adopted by Steve's parents was really bad and he also got adopted twice before but those didn't work out so he had to go back to a foster home and wait until he got adopted. Another thing that would be different his Steve's room because when Earl came he threw his clothes everywhere and trashed his room but before Earl came his room was always clean of clothes and food so after a while Earl and Steve started be friends and getting closer together just like actual brothers would do. I think this book is good for cause and effect because all the friends try to fix the fighting in between Earl and Steve this can also relate to real life because friends always fight but they always have a way to fix it and be friends again.

"After You, My Dear Alphonse Analysis"

Write an analysis of how (After you my dear Alphonse) relates to the topics of naivete and reverse racism. How does it compare and contrast our society in Pewaukee? Or Other areas of the country/world? What lesson do you think Shirley Jackson is trying to teach us?

I think the story relates to reverse racism because Mrs.Wilson was guessing that Boyd's dad works alot and needs to be really strong to work in a factory because she thinks his dad is a slave. Mrs.Wilson also thinks that Boyd doesn't eat alot because slaves didn't really get fed and she thinks that he's a slave so she tries to feed him everything another reverse racism was when Mrs.Wilson was giving him a care package of clothes home with him because she thought he wouldn't have any clothes neither would his mom or dad. This can compare to Pewaukee because other people from other places like Arrow Head might think were mean and we steal stuff because that's what they think of us but were really not like that.

I think Shirley Jackson is trying to teach us not to judge people by how they look or really how they acted because you always want to know them more before you start judging them. That's just like don't judge a book by it's cover when you look at it because you would want to read it to know more about it. I think another reason why she wrote this is because she wants us to see how it is to other people on how their judged or treated just like Boyd.

A Clean, Well Lighted Place Analysis

What is one event, character, or plot element that is similar to a modern text/film? Explain.

1.  In most movies there's always a sad part and the sad part of this movie is when the young waiter yells at the old man. There is also some one in a movie that is nice and that's the old waiter because the old waiter was just saying that he was lonely and just needs a calm place to relax.

2. I think the book is different than the movie because the old man was suppose to be outside on a terrost
but in the movie they were inside the cafe. One thing i didn't know would happen is the music at the end and the beginning, in the beginning the music sounded creepy and mysterious and at the end it sound more sad because the old man got yelled at and he just left all sad and didn't really say anything else when he left. Another thing that was different was the soldier walked by in the book but didn't walk by in the movie and I think the directer took that out because the soldier wasn't really a big part of the story. In the beginning the two waiters didn't say that the old man was def but he actually was in both the story and the book but you could still tell that he was def because he talked really loud to the waiters.

3. I liked the Movie type better because it made more sense than the book because the movie took out all the parts that wasn't need and it's also easier to visualize stuff. Another thing I liked was how they changed some of the parts like the terrist and how he was suppose to be outside and the reason I liked that was because i like when things changed from the book to the movie. One of the dislikes I have is the young waiter because he was mean and impatient  but the old on was nice and felt bad for him. Another thing I didn't like was how the old man looked he looked kinda homeless because he didn't really have good glasses and all he pretty much had was a coat and a scarf. Overall I like a little bit of both things because they were both great and how they explained things in the book and the movie.

Great Author's

Author's Note: This essay is going to be about comparing authors Mike Lupica and Tim Green and how their writing is the same and different.

The two authors I'm going to compare is Mike Lupica and Tim Green the two books I'm going to compare by these authors is the Big Field by Tim Green and Football Hero by Mike Lupica the ways I will be comparing them is how the books are the same and how there different. The Big Field is about these two baseball teammates Hutch and Cole try to go to the championship and try to stay as a team as there going through the games hutch gets suspended one game by his coach because he fought with one of his teammates. When its time to play the game Hutch give Cole some advise for him because he's playing his position when Cole goes out on the field and Hutch tells to move towards second so he does and he makes a nice double play. Football Hero is about these brothers Ty and Thane and their parents get killed in a car crash and Ty has to move with his uncle and he also has to go to a different school so he has no friends at first so he gets bullied until he joins the football team and shows all the kids up on the football team.

These authors are the same because they both write a bunch of sports books and both have the same setting but different sports. There also the same because they both have problems and they both get fixed like in the Big field the problem is Hutch getting suspended and them losing one game and they fixed this problem by stopping Hutch getting in fights with his teammates and practicing more to get better. In Football Hero The problem is that Ty gets bullied and has no friends at first but then he signs up for the football team and shows off his speed. I think these problems in both books could be real life experiences because people really get bullied and get called names and people always get in fights with their teammates.

Mike Lupica and Tim Green are different too because Football Hero has a nerdy kid and he gets bullied and that doesn't happen in The Big Field. Then in the Big field there's two teammates that work together and win the baseball championship and it's also different because it tells the story about two people but in the Football Hero it's only telling a story about Ty. Another way these books could be different is that there different sports and have different settings at some times and The Big field doesn't have such a big problem as Football Hero. I think the biggest problem in Football Hero is when Ty's parents die and he has to move with his uncle and Aunt and he also has to go to a new school and the biggest problem in The Big Field is when Hutch gets suspended for a game because he was the teams best player and he also new baseball alot more than his teammates because his dad played baseball but got injured and ended his career. Then when Hutch started baseball Hutch's dad started teaching him how to play and the rules of the game. I think these books are great for people who like sports books and books with some problems in it and i think all of the similarities and differences are real world and can happen to anybody. I personally like these books because I like sports and mystery books and these books are a little like that because you never know whats going to happen next.

Determination and Hard Work

Author's Note: This essay is about theme and the book i will be doing theme on is The Big Field by Mike Lupica and the theme for this book is determination because Hutch and Cole are determined to win the  baseball championship and go home with the trophy.

The "Big Field" by Mike Lupica is about Hutch and Cole playing on a baseball team and they try to win all of their playoff games so they can win the championship. Hutch's dad works for a limousine business and he usually takes famous people to places and he is a caddy for really good golf players. Hutch's dad use to play baseball and he got injured and it ended his career. Another reason why determination is good because at one point Hutch wants to go play baseball at 9 am with Cole because he loves it so much and before that he had a big game that they won and he didn't want to just sit at home all day.I think determination is a good theme for this book because sports is all about determination and you have to be determined to win and I feel like Hutch and Cole are always confident in themselves to win the games that they play.

Hutch and Cole always have trouble communicating with each other because they both ran into each other in practice so they started talking more and they also put hard work in practice and got ready for their next playoff game. In the book teamwork is also good for this theme because Hutch and Cole use teamwork to win the playoffs games in real life this can compare to real sport teammates because they have to work together and put the hard work in. during the playoffs Hutch gets suspended for one game of the playoff series and when the next game came he sat on the bench and he was acting like a second coach and he was helping Cole out because Cole was playing Hutch's position. When Cole and the rest of the team goes out to the field Hutch yells over to Cole and says move over towards second base because he was playing shortstop and the batter comes up and he was a righty so Hutch told Cole to move over more and so he did and when the pitcher through the ball and the batter hit it right at Cole and Cole caught it for an out and after that Cole gave Hutch a thumbs up.

Another story that has Hard work and determination is The Greatest Muhammad Ali because he had to work hard and be determined to win his fights and he also had to put hard work in practice to get better. A quote from the that Muhammad Ali always said was float like a butterfly and sting like a bee and that means when he's fighting he wants to be light on his feet but also wants to throw hard punches. I feel like if Muhammad didn't have anyone to motivate him he wouldn't of got as far or if he didn't have anyone training him he wouldn't of got any better. I think this theme works good with these two books because you need hard work and determination for all sports because if you don't work hard you really wont get any where and if you have no motivation or good people surrounding you, you wont get any where.

The Retelling about The Big Field

Hutch and Cole play Little league baseball and they have trouble getting through the Florida when their house has no central air all they have is just a little fan in their room to keep them cool for the night. When Hutch and Cole's baseball team gets in the playoffs they find a way to always pull out the win but Hutch makes a mistake in game 2 will it cot them their game or will they still win find out and go read The Big Field.

Figurative Language

Author's Note:Today I will be analyzing The Train by Emily Dickinson and I will be talking about the figurative language on the poem and how tone and mood are used and what impact it has on the reader.

"Train", by Emily Dickinson, is about trains and how they ride on the railroad tracks and Emily just uses some figurative language to explain like when she says " I like to see it lap the miles, and lick the valley's up that type of figurative language is personification because it has human and animal traits. The reason Emily used figurative language is to make the tone and mood more exiting.

In the poem train Emily compared a train and a horse because there both fast and big and she compares them by saying it stops to feed at the tanks that's just like saying when horses feed itself at a stable or when a train stops for fuel at the tanks. She also talks about  the train racing around the mountains just how a horse would if traveling through mountains Emily also tries to not really compare the two and she tries to keep it hidden and suspicious so you wonder what shes talking about.

Most people think poems are boring and just rhyme all the time and they don't this poem Train by Emily Dickinson doesn't really rhyme like some other poems it just uses alot of figurative language. In the first two lines of the poem is I like to see it lap the miles and lick the valley's up that kind of figurative language makes the poem great because nobody likes poems that just have regular words in them like run the valley's up because that would'nt sound as good as it is now. I feel like the author is telling us how she feels about trains and how they move down the railroad track the other type of tone is happy because the poem doesn't show any sadness or anger and she shows how she likes trains and also how she's trying to compare a horse and a train.

If there was no figurative language in this poem people would think this would be not as exciting and it would seem more boring because figurative language just makes it sound better instead of just describing the train with regular boring words. The figurative language "Around the pile of mountains" in the poem has effect on this piece because if Emily just said " around a bunch of mountains" it would be as powerful as it is.

I think this poem is great because it has alot of figurative language and I like how she's comparing a horse and a train and the figurative language affects the tone of the poem because instead of using boring words she used "crawl" and "supercilious". If I were to rate this poem i would give it a 8 out of 10 because she uses alot of figurative language.

The Predicting of The Big Field

Author's Note:In this piece we needed to predict whats going to happen in the novel and compare it to other novels and see how are they the same or how they different.

I will be predicting the end of The Big Field by Mick Lupica and I will be comparing it to Football Hero and how that ended and I will be seeing the differences between them and the similarities. In the story The Big Field the main characters are Hutch and Cody and they play in a junior league and they travel around the state for the playoffs and the championship.Hutch and Cody would always watch Yankee games and Hutch's hero of baseball is Derek Jeter and he plays for the Yankees. Hutch's dad use to play baseball and he was going into the MLB but he hurt his shoulder and it ended his season.

In the story Football Hero the main characters are Ty and Thane which is Ty's brother in Football Hero Ty is this nerdy kid who cleans toilets for his uncles job and he also had to moved schools because his mom and dad died in a car crash and he had to move with his uncle so in his new school he gets bullied and really has no friends. Ty and his brother both like football and Ty's brother play in college and he eventually gets into the NFL. I think The Big field is going to end by Hutch and Cody's team will win the championship because they are winning their playoffs games and Football Hero had a good ending because Thane got a good contract deal with New York Jets a pro NFL team and Ty also got to live with Thane like he always wanted to.

I thought this was a good prediction because all the sport Mike Lupica books end with a good ending and also The Big Field could end like that because Cody and Hutch are just like Ty and Thane even though the books were written by different Authors. There are also some clues that this story could end this way and some of the clues are when Hutch and Cody win the second game to get even closer to winning the championship.

The things that are different in these two stories is that ones baseball and ones football the characters are different because Ty was a nerdy kid and Hutch and Cody were just really good friends and were both really good at baseball the themes were also different The Big Field was in the summer in Florida and Football Hero was in the country in Virginia. In The Big Field Hutch and Cody actually had moms and dads and Ty didn't he just had his uncle and his aunt. As I would see it from my point of view that these stories are alot the same but a little different at times I recommend this book to people who like sports because they both show that they you need hard work in sports and always practice to get better

The Big Fight

In The Big Field Hutch and his friends play baseball and there in a special little league that they go and play big  baseball championships and Cody is one of Hutches friends that play with him. They have a kid named Darryl on their team and he thinks he’s the best one on the team and the funniest but no one thinks he is and he always tries to fight with other people.  The story is written in Mike Lupica’s point of view from this perspective, a lot of events and characters are described in a way that creates physical emotion and emotional the reader about Hutch and Darryl when they fight at practice and Hutch gets suspended from one game by coach Cullen. One way that Mike Lupica point of view influences the reader's interpretation is how this perspective shows how Hutch and Darryl get in a fight and how Hutch becomes the team captain as he makes the play of the game for his team to win. Mike also influences me is what Darryl thinks of Hutch or if the team likes Darryl because Darryl doesn’t really like Hutch who is the team captain. I think Hutch is nice and he has good sportsmanship and he helps people in practice. I think of Darryl as a mean kid because he fights with Hutch and the coach like when Hutch got suspended Darryl was talking bad about how he plays baseball However, the reader would feel a lot differently about Darryl if the novel was written in the point of view of Hutch’s dad. For instance the reader wouldn't think that Darryl is mean because Hutch’s dad never goes to his practices so he doesn’t know how Darryl acts. As you can see, the point of view of a story forces the reader to see just one side of an event or topic. In The Big Field the narrator's perspective makes the reader feel good about Hutch and Cody but bad about Darryl.

Point Of View

Author's Note: This essay is about Point of View and I’m writing this about song lyrics and what I think it’s about.

The song that I’m writing point of view on is I Roll Up and I chose this song because its one of my favorite songs by Wiz Khalifa. I think this song is about a relationship and this girl should break up with his boyfriend and get with him the reason Wiz says I roll up is because he will come whenever the girl needs his help and he says that he doesn't really care what her friends think of him. He's also telling her that they will be on vacation all the time and he tells her that it won’t be boring hanging out with him.

Lyrics
[Wiz Khalifa - Verse 1]
Its your anniversary isn't it
And your man ain't acting right
So you packin' your Domiar luggage up callin' my cell phone, try and catch a flight
You know one thing straight, I'll be there girl whenever you call me
When you at home that's your man, soon as you land you say that's all me
But ain't all g with him no more, you ain't entertained
Since I meet you a couple months ago you ain't been the same
Not sayin I'm the richest man alive but I'm in the game
As long as you keep it 100 Imma spend this change,

[Chorus]
Whenever you need me
Whenever want me,
You know you can call me, I'll be there shortly
Don't care what your friends say, cause they don't know me
I can be your best friend, and you be my homie
I ain't gonna flex, I'm not gonna front
You know if I ball, then we all gonna stunt
Send her my way, she ain't gotta hold up
Whenever you call baby I roll up, I roll up, I roll up
Whenever you call baby I roll up, I roll up, I roll up
Whenever you call baby I roll up

[Wiz Khalifa - Verse 2]
I try to stay out your business
But on the real you're so obvious
And if you keep fitting me in your plans and messin' up, your mans gonna catch onto us
That white sand surrounding us
He be handcuffing, he should work for them officers
If you rolling I got a spot where I can put you on this medical, and send you home doctored up
You wanna ride with me cause you say that he boring
Wake up you rollin' , cooking eggs in the morning
Ain't scared to spend this money I'll make more of it
First you was in the sky now you say you in orbit

[Chorus]

No matter where I am
No matter where you are
I'll be there when it’s over baby
Cause I was there from the start
No matter if I'm near
Don't matter if your far
All you do is pick the phone up lady
And I'll be there when you call

Whenever you need me
Whenever want me,
You know you can call me, I'll be there shortly
Don't care what your friends say, cause they don't know me
I can be your best friend, and you be my homie
I ain't gonna flex, I'm not gonna front
You know if I ball, then we all gonna stunt
Send her my way, she ain't gotta hold up
Whenever you call baby I roll up

Whenever you need me
Whenever want me,
You know you can call me, I'll be there shortly
Don't care what your friends say, cause they don't know me
I can be your best friend, and you be my homie
I ain't gonna flex, I'm not gonna front
You know if I ball, then we all gonna stunt
Send her my way, she ain't gotta hold up
Whenever you call baby I roll up, I roll up, I roll up
Whenever you call baby I roll up, I roll up, I roll up
Whenever you call baby I roll up

I roll up, I roll up
Whenever you call baby I roll up

Ty and Cole Similarities

Author's Note: This essay is going to be about compare and contrast and I will be comparing the main character of Touching Spirit Bear and Football Hero and those characters are Ty and Cole.

Touching Spirit Bear by Ben Mikaelsen is about Cole getting fight with everyone and Cole's parents are no better than Cole when Cole's dad get drunk he beats Cole later in the book Cole's father tries to get custody of Cole. Cole lets his anger out on a boy named peter Cole has to go to this detention center where Cole has a choice of going to jail or this Circle of Justice System. Cole must be Stranded on this island for a year because of what he did. The story Football Hero by Tim Green has a main character like Cole his name is Ty and his problem is family just like Cole Ty's parents die in a car crash and he has to go live with his uncle and aunt. His uncles has a cleaning business and he has go around buildings to wash their toilets and when Ty starts working in the business he also is going to tryout for football  and he has a hard time trying to make friends. I think I would be Ty rather than Cole because Cole gets mauled by a big white spirit bear and Ty just gets made fun of and you can always fix that but you cant fix getting mauled by a bear.

The way these two characters are similar is that they both have family problems like Ty has to live with his Aunt and Uncle and Cole gets beaten by his dad. Ty and Cole have both physical and emotional pain. Cole's physical pain is when Cole gets attacked by the bear and he gets hurt very badly and Ty's physical pain is when the football team pushes him around and throws him in the mud. Ty's emotional pain is when he got bullied by his teammates and he gets called toilet boy and Cole's emotional pain was when he kept remembering the attack of the bear. Cole also had emotional pain by remembering his dad beating him and his parents leaving.

Cole fixed his problem by just calming down and asking more question to Garvey and Edwin how to get rid of the fear of being attacked again. Once Cole had spent one month on the island he started to help rebuild the cabin that Cole burnt down when Garvey and Edwin started talking some sense into Cole he started to be more relaxed and didn't really complain as much as he did when he first got on the island. Ty fixed his pain by showing everyone who he is by showing that he can play football and hes very fast Ty also went and told his aunt and uncle and the school principle that he was getting pushed around and getting called names.

My conclusion for this essay is that Ty and Cole do have some similarities and some differences, some differences are that Cole got more physical pain because he got hurt more and his right arm didn't work as good as it would before the attack. Ty's Differences are that he had at least some of his family to help him get through his parents death and the bullying.

Football Brothers

Author's Note: This essay was about theme "determination and hard work" the book I did it on was Football Hero by Tim Green  and how Ty changed his life and his brothers.

Ty is the main character in Football Hero after his parents death he had to move in with his Uncle Gus his uncle always told Ty that he had no time for sports. In the book, Ty goes through some struggles like his parents death and moving schools then living with his uncle. When Ty goes to school he tries out for the football team and he makes the team but when he showed up in the locker room everyone made fun of him because he cleans toilets for his uncles business. One day when Ty's brother Thane came to visit, he gave Ty some tips on how to be better in football and stay in school after football practice. The next day Ty and Thane go and practice football he taught Ty how to shed blocks and block. After Thane and Ty did that practice he took Ty back home and wished him goodnight.

You know that you have to have good grades to play sports and you always have to work extra hard so you can graduate from college. You will always have to work for it like how Ty kept practicing and getting better at football. When Ty got in the gambling game with his uncle and his uncle's boss he had to keep a secret from his brother because he thought his brother would be mad at Ty because he was using him for fantasy football to find out all the injuries. Once Thane found out about Ty getting involved with the gambling Thane was very mad at Ty, when Ty told him the truth they had to go talk to the police about the gambling and how they can take down Lucy Ty's uncles boss. When Ty got in trouble he could of ruined Thanes career because of his uncle, if Ty never got in to the gambling he could of just kept going on with his life and just kept going to football. Just like a NFL running back Reggie Bush he got stripped of his Heisman trophy because he sold his college football jersey when he was in college and there's a rule in college football that you cant do that so the NCAA took the Heisman trophy away from him.You know that you have to have good grades to play sports and you always have to work extra hard so you can graduate from college. You will always have to work for it like how Ty kept practicing and getting better at football.
