Favorite Sport

Authors Note: The reason this sport is my favorite is because theres alot of good players and good teams going against each other for the lambardi trophey.

My favorite sport is football because theres mind blowing catches and touchdowns and its also fun playing because theres so much action and your acually in the action. In the NFL there can be big hits and great interceptions theres also players that stick out from each other because there so good at their postion.

Would You Sky Dive?

Author's Note: I think most people would not want to go sky diving because it looks really scary and it can be dangerous.

Yes I would sky diving because it would be really fun but scary at they same and it would be a fun adventure dropping out of a airplane or a helicopter with a parachute. I think landing would be hard because you would have to run fast to land right so you wont hurt yourself.

Favorite T.V. show

Author's Note: I like this T.V. show because its funny and there is actually episodes that can be stupid but most of them are funny I never whatched the movies but I heard they are really funny.

My favorite T.V. show is Spongebob because him and Patrick are always funny and stupid. In one episode they were outside just getting stung by a jellyfish and they didn't do anything about it they just sat there like dummies.

The Great Story about Gregory Harris

Author’s Note: This book could make you think about your grades more than sports because if you don’t get good grades you can’t play that sport.

Narrative: Greg has trouble keeping his grades good to play basketball also puts him more behind because he change schools.

The can book titled “Slam” by Walter Dean Meyers helps people think how important your grades are and how school comes before sports.

Gregory Harris lives in a bad neighborhood with his brother and his mom this book could help on to focus on your grades and school because Greg gets bad grades in art. His principle told him he might have to drop basketball because of getting bad grades. That night his mom went and talked to him about what the principle said. His mom gave ideas to what to do some of them were to drop the class or to stop playing basketball until he gets his grades up and he said he would drop the art class. Before he went to bed he thought what his mom and the principle it ran through his head and kept coming back to his head. The next day after school he tried out for basketball but he was late and the coaches let him try out to see how he was. He sat on the side lines and waited for the coaches to tell him to come in he also met some friends on the team one of the players on the team is Nick he asked Greg what’s his name and Greg said “Gregory but call me Slam”. How Gregory got bad grades was because he got an  also he moved schools so that got him more behind in all of his classes.   

The day after the principal calls Greg to his office again because the he wanted to see how he’s doing and Greg said “I’m doing ok”. Then the principal asked if he told his mom about his grades and he said yes that his mom told him to study more or drop basketball and he said that he would study more. His principle said good choice because you have good talent and you love to play the sport and the principle told Greg thank you for coming to my office. After that day was done he went home and did homework for art after he did his homework he went and ate dinner with his mom and brother. After dinner he talked to his mom and then went to bed. Ducky is one of Greg’s friends on the basketball team their lockers are right next to each other. Ducky thinks that he and Greg are really good friends but not as much but he’s cool” says Greg.

On a warm Saturday morning Greg walks around the neighborhood the lottery was up to 20 million dollars all over people were talking about that. Billy Gilles the guy who owns the bike shop is selling a lightweight bike only weighing fifteen pounds. Greg said to himself “if a car hits you will go flying of the bike. After he left the bike shop past the park and saw a couple guys playing dominoes and it looked like they’re having a good time then he saw a girl selling sold jazz records. But Greg keeps walking and doesn’t bother talking to the guys playing dominoes when Greg keeps walking he here somebody yelling Slam he turns around and sees ice one of his friends and teammates Greg says “hey what’s going on” nothing much” just going to the store to get some stuff says ice” ok see you tomorrow said Greg.   

 

Favorite car

Author's Note: Did you know that the Buggatti Veyron is the fastes street legal car in the world and the 2 most exspensive car in the world.

  My favorite car is the Bugatti Veyron because its really fast and because its a sports car and i would love to have a Bugatti.  A Buggatti is a really expensive car it cost up to 1000,200,000 dollars its the fasts car street legal. Only a couple celebrities have this car because its so expensive but its worth it.

McDonalds

Author's Note: Most people like McDonald's because their food is good but the bad thing about this fast food restaurant is the food isn't healthy. Some food is healthy like the salads and apples I like McDonalds because thier food is good and i dont really care about the toys

I'm sure you heard of McDonald's it may not be healthy for but it is good. The only thing that's bad about McDonald's is there burgers are really grease same as their fries but the thing that i always get in the mornings for breakfast is the Mcriddle. A Mcriddle has bread with syrup in the bread and meat in between the two bread and it also has the McDonald's symbol on it. It could have allot of fat in it but its good.

Proud of my Country

I am proud of my country because we have been at war for awhile and were still fighting I thank the Men and Woman for fighting for our country. There has been two people in the army that I know and they are my sister and my grandpa, my sis used to be in the army then they kicked her out because she didn’t come back to the ship in enough time so they sent her a letter say that she’s not in the army any more. My grandpa was also in the army a long time ago the bad thing in the army that happened to him is he was in a tank crossing a bridge and the bridge fell apart and he flew out of the tank and his legs got crushed he survived but when he went to the doctor the doctor said he would never walk again but a couple years later he walked again. That was just a little summary about my sister and my grandpa, in the army that was a long time ago.

 

 I see the joy in people’s faces when the army returns and visits their family for a few weeks or so. I thank god and the soldiers for our protection and all the money for guns and missile to defeat our enemy. I think our army is good because we been fighting all these years and were still fighting and were not losing the war. The thing I don’t get is why can’t we just settle this instead of fighting. I hope Obama can stop this war and send the troops home because families wont have to worry about their family member getting hurt or dyeing. The also bad thing about the war is we spend a lot of money on the guns and vehicles.

All the bad things that happen in the war are usually from mines or bombs. When we killed Osama Bin Laden we didn’t use mines or bombs we used helicopters and a lot of other technology to know where Osama was at the specific time and they were sneaky. Once we killed Osama the country celebrated for along time. The president also made a speech about killing Osama later on in the war we killed more terrorist that gives a reason why we can send our troops back home they did their job and now they can come back home.    

    

NFL Football

NFL football is the best sports I the world because it has a lot of action and really cool plays. Football is also one of the best sports in the world because its fun to play and a lot of people enjoy it because of the good teams that play each other and all the good players. The super bowl is the biggest thing of all the games the two best teams in the NFL faces each other for the Lombardi trophy the Lombardi trophy is a trophy that the winning team gets the trophy. The super bowl is held at a stadium that is picked but none of the teams are home there usually away, the Super bowl is at different stadiums ever year next year the super bowl is going to be held at the Indianapolis stadium. The reason I like football because u get to try out different position  and its fun playing against other teams and u get to be in the action instead of watching the action. My favorite football team is the Atlanta falcons the worst team I like is the green bay packers, I like the falcons because they have really good players and also they have one of my favorite players. I also like the Philadelphia Eagles because of Michael Vick and Desean Jackson those are my favorite players on the Eagles. On the falcons my two favorite players are Roddy White and Julio Jones.

The NFL retained its logo and its colors, over the years the NFL has became one of the most popular professional sports league in the United States. When there was only a 12 team league the Chicago Bears was one of the most popular teams, on August 14, 1959 was one of the first team meetings held in Chicago, Illinois. The Dallas Cowboys started play football in 1960 and the Minnesota Vikings started playing football in 1961. Later in the year another team was made from Buffalo, New York was names AFL's eighth team.  The AFL first draft took place the same day that Boston got a Franchise. Every different season there was different number of games in 1982 there was only 9 games in the season. In 2001 there were 16 games after every year the football games either stayed the same or go lower or higher, in 1990 bye week’s game into some of the football team’s schedule.

 In October 26, 2007 the NY giants and the Miami dolphins played in London for the first game.  Now these days the NFL season is usually just 16 games and also the playoffs so the players still play a lot of games, also they made NFL more complicated because of all the rules they have now. The NFL this year almost only played 13 games this season because the NFL went on a lockout and also the Super Bowl almost got postponed.
